Hoya Pubicalyx is endemic to the Philippines. The name Pubicalyx is made up of two parts, Pubi being Latin for Pubic, and calyx "the sepals of a flower, typically forming a whorl that encloses the petals and forms a protective layer around a flower in bud. "

It is a vining type of succulent vine that is perfect for Hoya beginners with its ease of care, beautiful waxy leaves, and show stopping star-shaped flowers which produce a delicate sweet scent, most noticeable at night.

Hoyas hold majority of their moisture in their succulent type leaves, allowing this plant to go longer periods of drought (without water) and perfect for those in warmer climates with bright South-facing windows

Hoya Pubicalyx is an epiphytic perennial and is considered a commercially common plant.

Family: Apocynacaea
Genus: Hoya
Species: Pubicalyx

Soil: well draining aroid mix
Water: Low (let dry between waterings)
Light: Bright direct light

Since it originates from tropical climates, it thrives on the warmth and light the sun brings.
